COLD STORAGE FACILITY - BARAGWANATH
The company was commissioned by a Soweto
based Black Empowerment Forum in conjunction
with ABSA & Province (Agriculture) to produce a
Feasibility Study along with proposing a Site
should the study prove positive.
Soweto remains commercially unsupported in
terms of Wholesale Facilities with transport costs
causing further tariffs on goods. This proposal
Deals with the three subsistence items Dairy,
Fresh Produce & Meat. The conceptual analysis
shown indicates primarily the vehicular reticulation
of both the Wholesale Deliveries and Retail
Purchases around 16 500m2 of refrigerated spaces
under roof.

THE SHARK LIFE CENTRE
The practice was approached by the
non-profit conservation group: Shark
Life, to design a structure that could
provide for the first large scale inland
aquarium focused around increasing
the awareness of conserving the
country's shark heritage. The building
was to be multi-purpose to allow for
additional functions beyond the
aquarium itself and hence the design
included for retail, offices and
exhibition spaces.

GENERIC SECONDARY
|
The firm was appointed to design
a Generic Secondary School for
the Gauteng Department of
Education. It coincided with an
upgrade of the school curriculum
which is reflected in the designs
approach to open plan courtyards,
individualized structures with
sweeping vistas and a sense of
identity for each of the users. To
date 24 of these schools have
been built.

LANGAVILLE PRIMARY
A full size Primary School which utilized the
standardized design model propagated by
Gauteng Department of Education at the time.
The practice used what little licence was
available by incorporating patterned face-brick,
exciting floor tiling and a large colour palette
of all painted surfaces.
